DEVON AOKI RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT FOR JEREMY SCOTT’S AW16 CAMPAIGN.
If there’s one person that can bring cult model Devon Aoki to fame as a teenager, and to revive her years later – it’s Jeremy Scott. Listed as Scott’s muse for decades, Aoki made her return to the runway last month as part of Scott’s vibrant MOSCHINO Cruise 2017 show at MADE LA. Directly following her runway re-appearance, Aoki enlisted to star in Scott’s ad campaign for his Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign. The American-Japanese saw her heyday in the ‘90s and early ‘00s, when she was introduced by Scott and quickly became a favourite of classic luxury fashion houses such as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Versace. Aoki’s height is often noted when referring to her career – and the fact that she’s shorter than the conventional model (165cm) is a testament to her beauty and power in the industry.
The campaign is glamorous, retro, and fuelled by pink.
