STELLA MCCARTNEY’S NEWEST CONCEPT FEATURES A SISTER ACT.
For her latest conceptual series, London-based designer Stella McCartney has chosen to pursue the theme of “Double Act,” focusing on the implications of the binary. Today, she launched her latest Double Act short fashion film, featuring London-born sisters Greta and Cosima Bellamacina. The film shows them making their mark on Stella’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections for Summer ‘16. Greta and Cosima form a creative duo together – one poet, one artist. Growing up in Hampstead Heath, the sisters claim to always have been inspired and mystified by the wildness of the Heath within the bustle of metropolitan London. Stella chose them to front her Double Act series as they focus on the feminine concepts of childhood, heartbreak, feminism, coinciding nicely with Stella’s playful and girly designs. The video and its accompanying Q+A profiles the sisters together with Stella’s new collection.
